POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

Prior to participating, all participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures and COVID-19 Guidelines for Member Outings and Golf Cart Policy

 

DOVE CANYON GOLF CLUB:

This magnificent Jack Nicklaus ‘Signature’ course – the only golf course in Orange County designed with the “Masters’ touch” boasts stunning mountain views amidst beautiful lush canyons. Ranked in 1994 by Golf Digest among the Top 3 golf courses in Orange County and among the Top 11 golf courses in the state of California, this 6,902 yard par-71 golf course takes you for a breathtaking round past sparkling waterfalls and rolling fairways to greens so well bunkered it will test the skill of any player. 

 

Host to the 1993 Inaugural Pro Stakes Championship, a unique event attracting players like Chi Chi Rodriguez, Fuzzy Zoeller, Peter Jacobsen, Craig Stadler and a field of pros in a two-day battle over 10,000 in prize money, Dove Canyon guarantees to deliver a memorable golf experience which promises to be as visually stunning as it is challenging. After your game, relax in the spectacular clubhouse inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright with its soaring wood-beamed ceilings and Honduran mahogany paneling.

 

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS: 

  • We encourage you to visit the Event Portal, where you will find the starting times, pairings and what to expect in advance of the event.
  • Starting times beginning on Tees - #1 & #10, ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. with 10-minute intervals.
  • Due to COVID-19 players are encouraged to arrive no more than one hour prior to their assigned tee time and allow for 20-minutes of range time.

 

FOOD SERVICE AND PURCHASES:

  • Registration fees include: Guest green fees, cart and driving range. 
  • Food & Beverage Service:  
  • Jack’s Den will be open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Purchases in the Golf Shop and Jack’s Den must be made with a credit card.
  • Beverage cart will not be available throughout the round.
  • Bottled water will be provided prior to tee-off, please bring additional waters to last throughout your round, all water stations on the course are closed, but water is available for purchase.
  • Golf Shop will be open 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Once you arrive, if social distancing is not possible, face masks should be worn in accordance with local guidelines. Around the Clubhouse facilities, Golf Shop, Jack’s Den, and not required on the golf course.
  • Golf Host will not handle your bags, but players will be directed to the cart staging area.
  • Registration will be located outside the main Clubhouse and near the cart staging area.
  • A registration table will not be set-up to eliminate gatherings.
  • Golf Carts will be distributed to each player 30-minutes prior, allowing for range practice and arriving 10-minutes prior to your assigned tee time.  
  • Single rider carts will be distributed, members of the same household may ride in the same cart.
  • Practice balls available on the Driving Range opening at 7:00 a.m., players should limit their range usage to no more than 20-minutes and maintain social distancing.
  • Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. till 9:20 a.m. with 10-minute intervals, off Tees #1 & #10.
  • Please note, all water stations throughout the course and Clubhouse are closed due to COVID.  Water will be available for purchase at the Grill.
  • Temperatures are expected to be sunny with a high of 68 degrees.

 

TEES:

Choice of tees based on play ability.

 

PACE of PLAY:

  • Dove Canyon GC has requested players to be mindful of a 4-hour round.

 

DRESS CODE:

  • Cargo shorts or cargo pocketed slacks are not allowed.
  • Hats worn forward.
  • Players must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes.
  • Shirts must be tucked in and hats must be worn forward.   
  • Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts, and tank tops are prohibited.  

 

CANCELATIONS:

  • To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA Member Outing, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org or by calling (818) 980-3630.
  • The player may also withdraw through his/her online player profile until entries close. If a player needs to withdraw on the morning of the event, notify the SCGA staff person through the golf shop staff at the host venue.
  • Refund Policy:
  • Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full less a $20 administrative fee.
  • Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the event: 50% of the entry fee.
  • Cancelation within 48 hours of the event:  No refund.
